Travel back in time and experience our pioneering history in re-created rooms of the past: a corner store, kitchen, bedrooms, sitting room, carpentry and blacksmith workshops and a wash house showing the furniture, clothing and the tools of yesteryear. Visit on a Wednesday and see old-time machinery working just like it used to.

We are located at the entrance to Parry Kauri Park where you can follow the boardwalks and wander through an ancient kauri forest, or view the magnificent McKinney and Simpson kauri trees from the carpark.

Our opening hours are: 10am – 3pm daily. We are closed Christmas Day & Good Friday.

Our entry fees are:
$7.00 adult
$3.00 child (6 – 16 yrs)
$15.00 family
(2 adults with children)

We also operate an Op Shop in Baxter Street, which with the help of dedicated volunteers, funds the museum and our exhibits. Please call in and have a browse.
