Summer is on the horizon! While it might not feel like it with all the sudden rain showers, our trusty weather forecasters assure us that summer is indeed headed our way. And here’s some more good news: in just a week, the elections will be behind us, allowing us to finally bid farewell to those relentless political ads interrupting our TV time. This, in turn, will pave the way for people to regain their purchasing confidence, and life can resume its forward momentum. Picture this idyllic scenario: the All Blacks have triumphed over Ireland, securing their spot in the World Cup Semi-Finals; your preferred candidates have assumed power, and the sun is gracing us with its presence as people eagerly prepare for the approaching holiday season. Your cash registers are ringing, and the world takes on a more positive hue. Sometimes, all it takes to brighten life is a slight shift in perspective. For me, this time of year is particularly hectic. On the evening of the 14th of October, I’ll be participating in the Warkworth Great Debate, a fantastic way to spend election night, filled with laughter and fundraising for Hospice. Mark your calendars for the Kowhai Festival on October 21st, an event we’re thrilled to bring back after a three-year hiatus. Though it’ll be a scaled-down version, rest assured that a great deal of effort is going into making it a memorable celebration! On the 24th of October, we have an upcoming networking event with Keith Hay Homes, and we’re also in the midst of planning the Warkworth Santa Parade, set for December 3rd. If you’re considering participating with a float, now is the time to start brainstorming your ideas. There are a couple more events in the pipeline, and as soon as they’re confirmed, we’ll share the exciting news. So, take a deep breath, because sunshine and good times are just around the corner. Prepare yourself mentally, collaborate with those around you, and let’s collectively anticipate a splendid summer ahead!
