Dave Stott | Chair
Director – Strategix Consulting Ltd.
Dave has worked for nearly 50 years as a Civil Engineer and Project Manager. A project manager for the Oaks Retirement Village and the Warkworth Hotel upgrade, Dave runs his own consultancy, Strategix Consulting Ltd. Dave is currently Co-Chair with Chris Penk (MP) of the OMBA Transport and Infrastructure Committee, Chair of the Tautuku/Waikawa Maori Land Trust, and a Trustee of the Matakana Coastal Trail Trust. Dave was previously Co-Deputy Chair of One Mahurangi and his main involvement has been advocating with Government and Council agencies for better transport infrastructure for the Mahurangi District.

Steve Reynolds | Deputy Chair
Owner – Aqua Works
Steve has been playing around with water and running his own business in Warkworth since Jan 2000.
Having moved here from the UK in 1995 Steve thinks he is somewhat becoming a local. Warkworth is a fantastic place to raise a family and run a business, the area and its people have so much to offer.
Steve has been a member of various local groups over the years and contributing to the business community is one way of serving the local community. Warkworth is a vibrant community, and never has there been a better time or opportunity than right now to get involved and make a difference.

Peter Henderson | Secretary
Owner – Octavius Agencies
Peter is a Customs Broker based in Warkworth and is heavily involved in the Warkworth Community.
A Past District Governor of Lions International District 202K, he is currently President of the Warkworth Lions Club and is on the committees of Warkworth Rotary/Lions Food Rescue, Heritage Mahurangi, Jane Gifford, Warkworth Museum. Peter and his wife Carol have been part of One Mahurangi’s Santa Parade for many years, riding high on the last float as Mr and Mrs Claus.
Believing that being involved is a better than sitting back waiting for things to happen, Peter sees Warkworth as great place to live – which is why he and Carol chose to live here, and will do what he can to continue to make it so.

Donna Wyllie
Co-owner – Composite Joinery Ltd.
With her husband, Donna is co-owner of Composite Joinery Ltd. They have had a business in Glenmore Drive since 1989.
Donna is also a Real Estate Agent in Warkworth. Originally part of the Warkworth Business Association in the 1990s, Donna’s interest in Warkworth is as a long-time resident, business owner, and property owner. She believes that if Warkworth thrives, we all thrive and Donna hopes to help out in areas that are beneficial to all of us.

Bevan Morrison
Project Manager – Morrison Heritage Orchards
Bevan is an experienced engineer having lived 22 years overseas in eight different countries. Now returned to Warkworth where his family has lived as farmers and orchardists for the last 160 years. He is keenly interested in sustainable development and protecting the unique history and heritage we have in Mahurangi for future generations.

Burnette O’Connor
Director – The Planning Collective
Burnette is an independent planning consultant. She has run her own business since October 2001 under the banner of O’Connor Planning Consultants, then OPC, and now The Planning Collective, and undertakes planning work for a wide variety of clients throughout New Zealand. This includes policy advice, plan changes, resource consents, Environment Court hearings and mediation. Burnette is passionate about ensuring the planned growth in and around Warkworth achieves a quality outcome for current and future generations. She was the lead planner and project manager for Plan Change 25 – Warkworth North and motivated a group of local development experts to generate a community-initiated spatial plan that was provided to Auckland Council. Most recently Burnette has worked on a 140 hectare plan change for most of the remaining Warkworth North Future Urban zoned land.

Michael Hamilton
Business & Operations Manager – Warkworth Toyota
Michael Hamilton brings a wealth of experience from across the automotive industry, having worked with leading brands such as Bentley, Audi, and Volkswagen. Now Business & Operations Manager at Warkworth Toyota, Michael is passionate about building strong teams and delivering results. His leadership extends beyond the showroom. He has played a key role on the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Fiji Business Council, helping strengthen business connections between the two countries. Michael is also known for his community spirit, having organised several high-profile fundraising events that have raised significant funds for local causes.

Sara-Jayne Kingston
Branch Manager – Barfoot & Thompson Warkworth
Having spent more than 20 years holidaying at Omaha, joining the One Mahurangi committee was an easy ‘yes’ for Sara-Jayne. Although she has been living in Warkworth for just over 18 months, leading the Barfoot & Thompson team, she has embraced becoming closely involved in the vibrant community spirit. Sara-Jayne is committed to involving herself and her team in initiatives that support the growth of the village.
Drawing upon a highly successful real estate sales career and a previous background in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, Sara-Jayne possesses an extensive skill set. She leads and develops her team by combining customer service and property investment expertise with a proactive, positive, and energetic attitude. Throughout her career, her aim has been to create long-lasting relationships built on reliability, trust, integrity, and strong communication.

Suzannah Hemus
Co-Owner – Pete & Mary’s Eatery | Mahurangi Joinery
Born and raised in Warkworth, Suz is deeply connected to the community and passionate about seeing the town flourish and grow. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge, warmth, and dedication to everything she does. As Co-Owner of Pete & Mary’s Eatery, Suz helps create a welcoming space where locals and visitors alike can enjoy great food and genuine service. She is also Co-Owner of Mahurangi Joinery, where craftsmanship and quality are central. Across both businesses, Suz remains committed to supporting local industry and community growth.

Marcha Cooke
Owner – Bam Boo Canteen
Originally from South Africa, Marcha is now a proud New Zealand resident and co-owner of Bam Boo Asian Canteen in Warkworth, which she runs with her husband and two daughters. Since opening in December 2024, the family has become an active part of the local community. With a background in the South African wine and hospitality industries, Marcha brings a strong passion for great food, connection, and genuine service. Deeply committed to supporting local and fostering growth together, she welcomes everyone through the canteen’s doors and is always up for a good old chinwag.
