The Season of Smiles and Sales
Summer is on its way. With daylight saving now here, the days are longer, the weather is warmer, and you can feel the shift in town as people step out of the winter slow-down with more energy and plenty of smiles. It’s a great time to be out and about in Warkworth.
Spring also means sales, so it’s a perfect chance to pick up a bargain while supporting our local shops as they prepare for the busy summer season. At the Warkworth Information Centre, we’re already seeing more visitors, including tour groups, and that will only grow as the weather improves. Let’s make them feel welcome—sometimes all it takes is a friendly word or pointing them towards a café to create a memory they’ll share long after they’ve left.
On another note, our AGM is coming up on Wednesday, 29 October. Don’t worry, you won’t be pushed into joining the committee unless you’d like to! It’s simply a chance to hear what we’ve been doing, learn about what’s planned, and connect with other local business owners.
As the busy season approaches, let’s stay focused on what makes our community special. We’re fortunate to live in one of the best places in the country. By continuing to buy local, support local, employ local, and love local, we strengthen not just our businesses, but our whole community.
As I always say, we are stronger together.
