14th May 2026 Update // Warkworth updates

Kia ora everyone,

I’ve now been in the One Mahurangi Manager role for a few weeks and I want to start by saying a genuine thank you to all the businesses, members and sponsors who continue to support One Mahurangi.

Your support makes a real difference to what we can do for local businesses, the town centre and the wider Warkworth community. I also know things are pretty tough out there for many businesses at the moment, so that support is not something we take for granted.

Looking ahead, there are some good opportunities for One Mahurangi. We have been talking with businesses about their priorities and looking at more networking events, practical workshops and support for members. As part of this, an independent engagement project is about to get underway across the One Mahurangi BID area carried out by WERKITS Limited, led by William Keung. This feedback will help shape One Mahurangi’s future direction, so I encourage you to take part if WERKITS gets in touch. It is a good opportunity to have your say and help make sure our planning reflects what local businesses actually need.

If you have ideas, feedback, or would like to catch up directly, please get in touch. I’m always happy to come to you, meet for a coffee, or have a quick call.

Thanks again for your support.
