Warkworth Information Centre

1 Baxter Street, Warkworth

Ph (09) 425 9081
Opening Hours: Weekdays 10 am – 4 pm

Located at 1 Baxter Street, the Warkworth Information Centre is the only Visitor Information Centre just off State Highway 1 between Auckland and Whangārei. It’s a welcoming hub for both visitors and locals, offering a wealth of local knowledge and helpful resources.

Our friendly volunteers can assist with everything from accommodation, attractions, and activities, to recommending trusted local tradespeople, professional services, community groups, and organisations. With direct access to One Mahurangi Warkworth’s online business directory, we’re here to help you connect with the people and places that make our region special.

We’re also happy to help with bookings and act as a ticketing agent for InterCity bus services. Please note the InterCity bus stop is now located just north of the Warkworth town centre — ask us for the exact location when making your booking.

Looking to promote your business? We offer affordable brochure display and billboard space inside the centre — a simple and effective way to be seen by both visitors and locals. Info Centre Manager Alison Hitchcock and her team love recommending local businesses to those who pop in.

The Warkworth Information Centre has launched a new Instagram profile, @visitwarkworth! The account will showcase stunning photos, share updates on local events and attractions, and provide insider tips on the best things to see and do in Warkworth and the Mahurangi region.

From the charming town centre to the serene Mahurangi River and beyond, the Instagram page is perfect for visitors and locals looking to explore everything the area has to offer. #WarkworthNZ
